The lawsuit against the 504 regulations is over and people with IDD lost "Big"! The Judge ordered that every regulation in the 504 regulations, that gave people with IDD the right to have services in the community, be taken down. This is just one part of a concerted effort to take away the civil rights of people with IDD right to live freely in the community. This will help this government  to force people, with IDD, into institutions as they have publicly stated as their goal. This is even though it will cost 3 times more than it would cost to house them in the community.  This is likely so private corporations can run these institutions at great profit, just like they do now with the immigrant detention centers.
